PRAIRIE CITY — The prime suspect in a vicious murder that occurred in John Day on Feb. 28 has been arrested. Gary Dylan Cavan, 42, was taken into custody on Wednesday, March 5. He was arrested Wednesday morning, March 5, by personnel from the Grant County Sheriff's Office and Oregon State Police at the SAGS Motel, on Highway 26 outside Prairie City, according to information provided by law enforcement.
