아마존(Amazon) 주식은 27일(현지 시간) 기준 약 4% 상승해 194달러에 육박했다. 덕분에 시가총액이 처음으로 2조 달러를 넘어섰다. 뱅크 오브 아메리카(Bank of America)가 26일 발표한 투자자 보고서는 아마존 주식에 대해 매수 의견을 재확인했다. 보고서는 2024년 아마존의 글로벌 배송 물량이 90억 개를 초과할 것으로 전망했다. 분석가들은 "아마존이 이제 UPS를 제치고 미국 최대 배송업체가 됐을 수 있다"고 밝혔다. 또한 "배송 속도도 크게 개선되어 현재 예상 주문량의 약 25%가 당일 또는 익일 배송되고 있다"고 덧붙였다. 뱅크 오브 아메리카는 아마존 주식의 목표가를 210달러에서 220달러로 올렸다. 아마존 주가는 올해 들어 약 30% 상승했으며, 지난 12개월간 거의 50% 올랐다. ◇'성장 여력' 블룸버그(Bloomberg)는 아마존이 비용을 절감하고 구조조정을 단행해 "인공지능 열풍을 더 잘 활용할 수 있게 됐다"고 보도했다.

Amazon shares on Wednesday were up about 4% to nearly $194 as of 2 p.m. ET, pushing the Seattle-based retail giant's market cap above $2 trillion for the first time. A Bank of America note to investors published on Tuesday, which reiterated a buy rating on Amazon's shares, projects the retailer to deliver more than 9 billion packages globally in 2024. Amazon "could now be the largest U.S. shipper, ahead of UPS," analysts wrote.
