Recently, the majors in men's golf have been particularly top-heavy. Four players - Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau - have combined to win the last six contests. Five of the six wins have come when those players were ranked either first, second or third in the Official World Golf Ranking. The lone exception is DeChambeau, who cannot earn OWGR points week to week playing LIV Golf events (DeChambeau is second in Data Golf's player rankings).
