The Knicks turned it over, the Pacers ran. The Knicks missed, the Pacers ran. The Knicks scored … the Pacers still ran. “Inexcusable,” TNT analyst and longtime NBA coach Stan Van Gundy said after the Knicks let Obi Toppin score on an unconstested layup in the fourth quarter following a made basket by New York. It is clear Indiana coach Rick Carlisle got the message across that pushing the pace was important in Game 6.

Charley Hull could have used a smoke on Thursday. The British golfing star was shown looking exasperated throughout the first round of the U.S. Women’s Open while playing alongside Nelly Korda and Lexi Thompson. Hull is known for playing at a brisk pace and did not seem happy at times with Thompson. It seems Charley might be frustrated with Lexi’s pace of play. The Knicks will need to be road warriors after a fourth-quarter rally fell painfully short in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals on Friday night. The Knicks fell 114-109 to the Pacers when Jalen Brunson ran out of heroics, missing a game-tying 3 in the final seconds. They now trail the series 2-0 headed back to Indiana. Pascal Siakam torched the Knicks for 39 points, almost single-handedly keeping the Pacers in the game in the first half with Tyrese Haliburton mostly quiet.
