Michigan State made two transfer portal pickups earlier this month, and now it looks like they're circling around another target - this one in the back court. Former Miami transfer guard Divine Ugochukwu will be taking an official visit to MSU starting Monday, a source confirmed the Spartan Tailgate. The first was first reported by Joe Tipton. Texas Tech and USC are also looking to land Ugochukwu. This past season in Coral Gables was his freshman season, giving him three years of eligibility left.

Michigan State is on the hunt for its 21st athletic director in school history. Last week, university president Kevin Guskiewicz fired Alan Haller from his role, effective immediately. Tom Izzo and deputy AD Jen Smith are currently serving as Co-ADs, as Turnkey ZRG's Chad Chatlos and Guskiewicz work to find a new AD. As I reported last week, the new athletic director will be one who has a history of fundraising and strategic partnerships.

Michigan State University is parting ways with athletic director Alan Haller, sources confirmed to Spartan Tailgate last night. The news was first made public today by the Detroit Free Press. Haller was the school's Vice President & Director of Athletics for over 3 years. The news comes as the college landscape is as fluid as ever, and universities are trying to best-position themselves for the next chapter of uncertainty.

The Spartans have added a transfer portal pickup. The spring window of the NCAA football transfer portal window is in full swing. Michigan State is looking to add pieces at various positions, including at defensive end, safety, blocking tight-end and potentially other spots. To that point, the Spartans have landed another one of their targets. Former Georgia State defensive end Cam Williams committed to MSU via social media moments ago. Williams had offers from Purdue and Kansas as well.
