As we start the new work week it starts on a bit of a cooler trend with highs mostly staying in the 60s Monday then around 70 on Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday are the warmest days of the week in the low 80s then it's back to average on Friday in the mid 70s. If you feel like summers the last few years have trended warmer, you are not wrong. Looking at the number of days above average over the last 50+ years we see about 17 more above average days nowadays than we did in the late 1900s.

We are almost a full week into the month of June but the stats for May are now in. It's no surprise to anyone that it was a wet month. In fact the month saw 6.52" of rain which is almost exactly 3" above average and goes down as the ninth wettest May on record. Last year in May we started to see drought conditions with less than a full inch of rain during the month. This year almost the entire state is drought free.

The temps and humidity levels will start to increase as we go into the new work week. High temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the low 80s with the warmest day on Tuesday. Dew points will also rise into the middle to upper 60s pushing humidity levels into the muggy category for some of the first prolonged humidity of the season. After a dry start to the day Monday the storm chance increases around midday with storms likely during the afternoon and evening.

Could have some lingering haze today for PrideFest and can't completely rule out an isolated shower but otherwise a nice afternoon the 70s and a cool evening as temps drop through the 60s. https://t.co/crJJ5II2pv

After the soaking rain earlier this week we were just two hundredths of an inch below average on rainfall. Now that deficit has grown a touch but overall we are doing great on rainfall for the year! https://t.co/9KudIMDhrk

Sassy is our featured pet of the day! Temps are alright today with highs in the low to middle 70s. Can't rule out a few isolated showers, otherwise still hazy. https://t.co/rczQnckZGl
