LONDON, February 4, 2025: According to the latest Omdia smartphone preliminary shipment report, global shipments reached 328 million units in 4Q24 marking a 2.8% increase. This growth extends the smartphone market's streak to five consecutive quarters of year-on-year growth. For the full year 2024, total shipments climbed to 1,223.1 million units, a 7.1% increase from 1,141.9 million units in 2023 signaling a steady recovery for the industry.

LONDON, August 2, 2024: According to the latest Omdia smartphone preliminary shipment report, shipments totaled 290.3 million units in 2Q24. Compared to the previous year, this shows a 9.3% rise, following the 11.5% increase in 1Q24 and 8.6% increase in 4Q23. Compared to the previous quarter, this represents a 3.2% fall. The slow growth indicates the industry is settling to sustainable levels of global shipments, following strong growth between 4Q20 and 3Q21 and decline in 2022.

LONDON, February 2, 2024: Latest research from Omdia has found that in the fourth quarter of 2023, the smartphone preliminary shipment total reached 328 million units. This marks an 8.6% increase compared to 4Q22, and highlights 4Q23 as the first quarter to see a significant increase since 2Q21. It is also an 8.6% increase compared to the previous quarter.

LONDON, November 3, 2023 - In the latest Omdia smartphone preliminary shipment report, shipments totaled 301.6 million units in 3Q23 - a 0.7% decrease compared to 3Q22. Compared to the previous quarter, though, it is a 13.4% increase. For the first time this year, half of the top ten major smartphone set OEMs saw growth, including Apple, Xiaomi, Transsion Holdings Group, Honor and Huawei. The other half includes Samsung, vivo and Realme, who all saw large declines.

LONDON, August 28, 2023 - The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the most shipped smartphone worldwide in the first half of this year, with Apple shipping a total of 26.5 million units according to Omdia's Smartphone Model Market Tracker - 2Q23. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is the most expensive model in the 14 series that Apple released last September and is priced from $1,099 to $1,599. Taking second place is the Apple iPhone 14 Pro - the second most expensive model in the 14 series, priced from $999 to $1,499.
