Better Collective’s latest share buyback programme has closed after spending SEK110.2m (€9.9m), as the affiliate looks to “optimise and improve” its capital structure. First announced on 19 February, Better Collective said the programme would run from 20 February to 16 April – with 5,069,762 shares available worth nominally €0.01 each. The Danish affiliate said the purchase of its own shares would be capped at a total market value of up to €10m.

GTG Network to power Hard Rock Bet’s Stats HubHard Rock Bet has launched a new Stats Hub which will be powered by GTG Network. Stats Hub is available via the Hard Rock Bet app and allows bettors to view data including player props, parlays and line moves via a “clean interface that’s easy to understand”.

The German Sports Betting Association (DSWV) has called on Germany’s coalition government to introduce five concrete measures to combat the black market in the country, including the creation of a specialised investigative authority. Following the collapse of the German government last November, a deal was reached last week between the Conservative party and Social Democrats to form a coalition.

The Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has found a Fitzdares ad featuring former England cricketer Stuart Broad not to be of strong appeal to under 18s after a complaint from GambleAware. The charity challenged the advert, posted on X on 13 August 2024, saw Broad announce he had struck a partnership with the operator as an official brand ambassador. He tweeted, alongside a photo of him playing cricket: “Delighted to have teamed up with @Fitzdares.

Yolo Group has appointed former bet365 head of editorial content James Clark as its new global head of content and SEO. Clark spent three years with bet365, initially joining as sports and betting news manager in January 2022 before being named head of editorial content in February 2023. In the latter role, he was responsible for content strategies and operations at the operator and relocated to Gibraltar to work alongside chief digital officer Chris Taylor.
