Gravitating towards international talent has seen a significant increase in the college ranks. It should be because basketball is a global game. Illinois basketball has undoubtedly made a staple of finding incredible talent from outside the U.S. border. Those players are finding a home in the Big Ten, which has already had a deep history of it. Just look at what Michigan was able to do with Germany’s Moritz and Franz Wagner. It appears there are varying opinions in the NASCAR garage area about Throwback Weekend. NASCAR has been partaking in this annual weekend at Darlington since 2015. Every year, there are some great recreations of classic paint schemes. Some have been better than others. There was also a time when everybody partook in the festivities. However, this year, it seemed like maybe it was time to change it up.

Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway had it all. A dominate performance, early incidents, and a late charge. Not to mention a late race restart that helped Denny Hamlin score his second-straight win of the season. Lost in the late race drama is the fact that Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron led the race’s first 243 laps. It was a performance worthy of the throwback scheme of Jeff Gordon that he carried. Like Byron, Ryan Blaney also found himself empty-handed at the end of the 293-lap race.
