The town hall was hosted by District 5 Alderwoman and Mayor Pro-Tem Dr. Estella Edwards Shabazz, PhD, in Tatemville. “We can feel better knowing they’ve got our back,” said Savannah resident Angel Brayboy. Gratitude was the main emotion expressed by community members attending the town hall.

(WSAV) – Leah Spann, 17, is graduating from Savannah Early College High School as a junior, and her bevy of accomplishments and natural abilities in the classroom have earned her a free ride to college. “I’ve always been told I’m pretty smart,” said Leah. Pretty smart to the tune of 24 college acceptance letters and $572,322 awarded in scholarship money. Leah knew she wanted to graduate early and receive a high-level college education as far back as middle school.
