6 dead following Cholera outbreak in parts of the country

Six people have been reported dead following a cholera outbreak in some parts of the country. The outbreak has been reported in three counties: Nairobi, Migori, and Kisumu. According to a statement by the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Aden Duale, as of 6th April 2025, 97 cases of the disease had been reported in the three counties. Migori leads with 53 cases and one death reported, the affected sub-counties being Suna East, Suna West, Kuria East, and Kuria West.

Police in Kisauni Mombasa County have arrested 39 more suspects linked to the infamous panga boys. According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects were arrested in a multi-agency operation in the Junda, Bilima, Barisheba, Sunlight, Mwandoni, Cobra, Kadongo Grounds, Mwakirunge, and Vikwatani areas.
