A pregnancy loss has been known to cause a lack of self-efficacy, hinder relationships with family members and decrease quality of life [45, 46]. However, the studies on these relationships were either conducted in developed countries or focused on the physiological repercussions. Therefore, the psychological consequences of loss of pregnancy in disadvantaged populations in developing countries were lacking.
