    ONE of London's most historic parks is set to start its massive £52million renovation this year. Crystal Palace was made famous by it's iconic attraction, the Crystal Palace which opened in 1854. Dubbed the eighth wonder of the world at the time - and even visited by royalty such as Queen Victoria - it sadly burned down in 1936. But the remaining Crystal Palace park has remained popular ever since, and is undergoing a major renovation project.

    DISNEY has revealed plans to open a brand new theme park - in Abu Dhabi. The huge new park will be in Yas Island, and will be the seventh for Disney. Calling it a "groundbreaking resort destination" it will be on the huge waterfront. Little-else is known about the theme park including how many lands and what rides it will include. However, it will have themed accommodation as well as dining and retail experiences, it has been confirmed.

    It ranked next to other trendy resorts including MargateA SEASIDE town in the UK is said to be "bouncing back" as a holiday destination. While beach resorts died off across the UK in the 1970s due to cheap package holidays abroad, they have seen a boom in tourists in recent years. Along with trending seaside towns such as Margate and Weymouth, National Geographic named Barmouth in Wales as an up-and-coming seaside destination.

    HOLIDAYMAKERS are being turned away from their flights at the airport even if their passport is said to be "in date". New rules introduced after Brexit continue to cause problems for tourists heading to Europe. Previously allowing passports to be up to 10 years and nine months old, the current rules no longer allow the extra nine months that could be rolled over. And with Europe requiring at least three months left on a passport from Brits, the two rules have caused confusion by border staff.
