Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew will be reduced to single-lane traffic beginning tonight, Friday, December 6, to facilitate repair works. The National Works Agency, NWA, says the repair will be carried out on the section of the road between the Ministry of Justice and Manor Park between 9 PM and 4 AM nightly for the next two weeks. The repair work includes the removal of sections of the asphaltic concrete surface through a process referred to as milling and the laying of a new surface.

A US national has been slapped with multiple gun and ammunition charges after he was held at the Donald Sangster International Airport in St. James last month. He is 42-year-old Shaun Duncan a commercial driver of Cypress Pointe Boulevard in Davenport, Florida. Duncan arrived in Jamaica on Southwest Airlines on Friday, November 29. Reports from the Firearm and Narcotics Investigation Division are that at about 4 PM, he collected his luggage.

Three men from the Buff Bay lockup in Portland have been charged with the murder of another inmate. Charged are 22-year-old Malik Lewis, 28-year-old Nicardo Buckley, both of White River District, Buff Bay, and 19-year-old Xavier Harriott of Baker Street, also of Buff Bay, Portland. The deceased is 57-year-old Patrick Perry, of Long Bay in the parish. Reports are that on Sunday, September 29, Perry was in the Buff Bay Police lockup when an altercation developed between him and the other inmates.
