The last moments of Real Madrid’s semi-final against Bayern Munich described Carlo Ancelotti’s best. While the Germans were (understandably) frustrated by their late non-offside which denied a goalscoring opportunity, the Real Madrid bench were also visibly worked up in the heat of the moment. Amidst it all, Ancelotti stayed calm, almost as if nothing were happening around him, as is often the case with the Italian. Ancelotti didn’t break a sweat on the touchline that evening.

Carlos Bianchi is undoubtedly one of the greatest South American coaches of all time. The Buenos Aires native enjoyed a successful playing career in Argentina and France, before taking up the job on the touchline, enjoying significant domestic successes with Vélez Sarsfield, but it was the job later that solidified his status as one of the greatest ever.
