Each new year, when I hear that softball teams are forming, I think of our daughter’s remarkable life journey propelled by the Peninsula Youth Softball Association (PYSA). A journey that shaped her in numerous positive ways that continue to show up in all areas of her life to this day.

Hello! I’m trying to figure out how to put a door and somehow “enclose” this staircase. My daughter and family are looking at moving in and taking over the upstairs area, and so I would like to prevent the noise transfer between the floors. Any ideas?

This is a large room (almost 10m x 5m) that comes off our bedroom (which is through the double doors on the left). We would like to turn it into a parent room (once we have finished renovating!). We would like a coffee station (no plumbing - just a coffee machine, fridge and maybe a box of cereal and evening snacks!), TV area, sitting area and a desk. It’s got gorgeous views from both windows and is a nice room, but I find the dimensions are difficult.

Some fun and productive things happened in the College Area during February. The College-Rolando Library hosted a fantastic celebration of the Lunar New Year to the delight of many neighborhood families. Children were especially captivated by the sights and sounds of traditional dancing lions as everyone celebrated the Year of the Dragon.
