33 Immortals Thunder Lotus 33 Immortals, developed by Thunder Lotus Games, is a cooperative roguelike inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Combining MMO-lite mechanics with chaotic battles, the game explores themes of suffering, redemption, and the eternal struggle, offering a unique take on the genre. Players take on the role of condemned souls, working together to fight through the afterlife. 33 Immortals stands out from traditional roguelikes with its emphasis on teamwork.

When US television shows in the 1960s turned their attention to LSD, the most notorious drug of the turbulent era, they often did so from the viewpoint of the preceding decade: the culturally conservative 1950s. Such is the case for each of the episodes discussed here. One of these, the earliest to focus on LSD, is from the 1950s. All the rest are from the 1960s, but in their collective ethos, the framework of implied authorial values, these shows belong to the 1950s.

Let’s call this idiosyncratic, highly disputable look backwards and forwards the Gospel, According to PiL. (“PiL” is the group’s acronym, pronounced “pill”.) According to this apocryphal Gospel, the history of rock and roll ended with the demise of punk rock. Yes, its demise.

We are seeking essays for our new film-based Winter 2023-24 All Things Reconsidered series. These features analyze classic movies in film history. They are indexed in the academic ProQuest database. We are seeking pitches for articles on the movies listed below, although writers may also pitch others that are not on this list. All Things Reconsidered articles should be at least 1,400 words, although that’s fairly short for a substantial essay, and writers are encouraged to go longer.
