    UNICOI, Tenn. (WJHL) — Greeneville, Tennessee native Ellie Freshour is a second-grade teacher at Unicoi Elementary. After graduating from Tennessee Tech, Freshour spent her first three years at school in Clay County before moving back to East Tennessee. “It was called Celina K-8,” Freshour said. “It was in a small town in Celina, about 30 to 40 minutes away from Cookeville, and then since I’m from Greeneville, I wanted to move back closer to family. That’s where I am.

    MOUNTAIN CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Jordan Chambers is a graduate of Daniel Boone High School. She always wanted to be a teacher and is living that dream at Mountain City Elementary. Chambers is in her 12th year of teaching. She started out teaching science and social studies and now teaches English/language arts. Chambers has spent her entire career teaching 5th grade at Mountain City Elementary. Consistency, she says, pays off when it comes to leading her classroom.
