    AbstractCD47-SIRPα interaction acts as a "don't eat me" signal and is exploited by cancer to downregulate innate and adaptive immune surveillance. There has been intense interest to develop a mechanism of blockade, and we aimed to analyze the emerging data from early clinical trials. We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of relevant databases and conference abstracts including clinical trials using CD47 and/or SIRPα inhibitors in cancer treatment.

    It is pretty evident the neglect women's sports have faced since the display of athletic talent garnered an audience. Women's sports have never been, as a whole, treated equally to men's in a variety of aspects. Women's matches have not been broadcasted to the same length as men's, and even when they are it is often with a pay wall, insufficient filming equipment, or many other conditions that create a boring game for viewers.

    “Cinematic Sounds" is the Punta Gorda Symphony’s final Mainstage Concert of the season.  The concert, scheduled for April 2 at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center, will feature some of the most recognizable and beloved music from the movies.

    The Punta Gorda Symphony features Tchaikovsky’s "Symphony No. 1" on Feb. 5 at the Charlotte Performing Arts Center. Renowned pieces by Richard Wagner, Anton Dvořák and Manuel de Falla will round out Maestro Raffaele Livio Ponti’s program. The evening begins with Wagner’s "Die Meistersinger, Act 1 Prelude," which was an immediate success when first performed in 1868. Characterized by great pomp and splendor, the "Prelude" is notable for its complex textures, rich harmonies and orchestration.
