Riding in the back of a speeding pickup, I can barely discern some tufts of fur through the thick desert dust. I hear a thunderous stampede and shouts of “Yalla! Yalla! Yalla!” before the dust cloud takes form. In an instant, a pack of camels emerges from the haze and sprints past, and the truck veers to follow through the rocky barren desert.
