After almost two months out sidelined with a dislocated shoulder, jockey Carleen Hefel says she’s nearing a return to the races. “My shoulder is feeling really good and I started back riding work last week,” she said. “I’ve been doing physio for the past seven weeks and it’s feeling good and has a good range of motion. “I should be back at the races in just a couple of weeks.”The 34-year-old injured her shoulder at the Pakenham jumpouts on November 26.

Chasing his first Ballarat Cup win, trainer Dan O'Sullivan has confirmed stayer Berkeley Square will back up into his hometown feature on Saturday. Deep into his spring campaign, the five-year-old made up good ground last Saturday, running into the placings in the Group 2 Zipping Classic (2400m). "He's bounced through his last start on Saturday fantastic," O'Sullivan said. "From the next day he'd eaten up well and he was nice and bright.
