IntroductionUnoccupied aircraft systems (UAS) are becoming increasingly prevalent for a variety of applications such as product delivery [1], search and rescue [2], law enforcement support [3], and agricultural and forestry remote sensing [4], among other purposes. The imagery that can be captured by UAS can provide very detailed databases for GIS and remote sensing applications that would be difficult to gather through piloted aircraft and satellites.
