We identify 1484 regions of locally elevated Hα velocity dispersion (σ(Hα) > 45 km s−1), with tens in each galaxy. About half of them contain at least one young stellar association or compact star cluster within their borders. We argue that most of those regions not connected with star clusters are SNRs – they typically have a centrally concentrated Hα flux distribution and emission line flux ratios consistent with shock excitation.
