A documentary about singer-songwriter Noah Kahan - and his astonishing rise to fame - is on the way. Billboard reports the currently untitled film has wrapped production. It is the creation of Live Nation Productions, Federal Films, Polygram Entertainment and RadicalMedia. Nick Sweeney serves as director, and RadicalMedia is on board as the production company. Six years after Scooter Braun infamously took control of her musical catalog - and four re-recorded albums later - Taylor Swift has bought back her missing masters. It's now the first time she's owned the rights to all of her music. On May 30, Swift announced via her website that she had purchased the masters of her first six albums - as well as videos, concert films, art, photography, unreleased content and other related materials - after Shamrock offered her fairer terms.

One week ago (May 23), Billy Joel revealed to fans he had been diagnosed with Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH) - a rare brain disorder that causes fluid to accumulate in the brain’s ventricles, leading to issues with hearing, vision, and balance. The condition has been “exacerbated” by recent live performances, and as a result, the legendary 76-year-old musician has been forced to cancel all upcoming concerts scheduled through 2026.

Canadian country-pop star Shania Twain really got her audience good. The five-time Grammy winner recently performed an intimate, surprise show at a restaurant in the Bahamas while wearing a baseball cap. On May 26, she posted a TikTok of her singing "You're Still the One" while playing the guitar at the venue, joining a few other musicians for what appeared to be an impromptu set. Just after releasing the collaborative record Tall Tales with Mark Pritchard, Thom Yorke has a solo single to drop. The tune is called "Dialing In" and serves as the theme for the upcoming Apple TV+ series, Smoke. Originally debuting as a setlist selection for solo shows (titled “Gawpers” at the time), “Dialing In” has been revised and augmented by Yorke to match the themes of Smoke.
