An unavoidable characteristic of a healthy city centre shopping destination is the steady multiplication of chain restaurants to serve the thousands of shoppers. As dining trends chop and change, restaurant units come and go, new openings pique the interest of casual diners eager for a mid-shop or post-work fill.

A solid, comfy summer shoe can sometimes lead to a clunky, muted clog or big buckle sandal - which seem to be all the style currently and look lush if that's what you're after for an outfit. But I've found a brilliant pair of summer sliders that will perk up the most stylish of outfits but are also really, really comfortable. And yet last year, at 41, an early perimenopause diagnosis and a spell of poor health meant my sneakers sat in a corner gathering dust.

Today I interviewed Kelly from @stereophonics for the 1st time, despite being a Welsh reporter for 21 years, I got to tell him Local Boy in a Photograph hits me deeply. It's a bloody brilliant, visceral, vivid song that knocks me sideways. I couldn't say that or I'd cry, mind ❤️
