    WASHINGTON (7News) — A Hyattsville man has been indicted for threatening to kill two strangers and stabbing one of them on a Metro bus in July 2024, U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro and Chief Michael Anzallo of the Metro Transit Police Department announced. According to the prosecution, Ankintola Olowofoyeku, 43, was aboard a 70 route bus near Georgia Avenue NW and Jefferson Street NW on July 21, 2024, when he began screaming at two strangers. Olowofoyeku demanded that they exit the bus.

The incident occurred on May 26 at approximately 6:30 p.m. when Maryland State Police from the College Park Barrack responded to reports of multiple shots fired during an alleged road rage incident. The victim reported that his vehicle was shot at multiple times, but both he and his passenger were unharmed.

    WASHINGTON (7News) — President Donald Trump announced on Monday that he has granted former Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Jenkins a presidential pardon one day before he was supposed to start a ten-year prison sentence for accepting over $75,000 in bribes. Jenkins, 53, was convicted in December 2024 of receiving cash bribes, and bribes made through contributions to his campaign for office, to appoint multiple donors as auxiliary deputy sheriffs during his tenure.
