ALBERMALE COUNTY, Va. (7News) — The search for a missing 12-year-old in Albemarle County has ended in tragedy. Authorities were called to the Newtown Road and Valley Green Drive area around 5:30 p.m. yesterday for a swift water rescue after a 911 report indicated 12-year-old Jordan Sims was swept away by rushing water while walking outside. Three hours of water operations were eventually paused for the safety of first responders, due to limited visibility in the overnight hours.
