The Commerce Commission has filed charges today against two Pak'nSave supermarkets over alleged breaches of the Fair Trading Act. The consumer watchdog been watching supermarkets closely and signalled in December that it would consider filing charges over misleading specials. 1News can now confirm charges have been laid in the Auckland District Court against Pak'nSave Silverdale in Auckland and Pak'nSave Mill Street in Hamilton.

Sky TV's summer satellite issues have led to it taking a financial hit as it announced its half-year results. The broadcaster has suffered a 106% decrease in net profit, registering a $1.75 million loss. It says its satellite migration project and prolonged economic headwinds had contributed to the half-year result.

Homeowners – or those dreaming of owning their own slice of Kiwi land – are yet again looking to the central bank's big call at 2pm tomorrow. In fact, you could almost bet the house, or that eye-watering mortgage, on it being another cut of 50 basis points or 0.5%. That would take the rate from 4.25% to 3.75%.
