An explosive device was disarmed in the city early this morning. Gardaí attended a home in Glenties Park in Finglas, and called in the Defence Forces. The Army EOD team declared the device safe and it has been removed from the scene for analysis. The Irish Mirror reports the explosive had been delivered to the house by a drone.
Teenager killed in scrambler crash in Dublin

A teenager has been killed in a crash, involving a scrambler bike and a car, in Dublin. It happened on Citywest Avenue about 8 o'clock on Sunday night. A man in his teens, who was driving the scrambler, was taken to Tallaght Hospital, where he later died. A post-mortem examination will take place in due course. There were no other injuries reported. The road has reopened after a technical examination of the scene - and Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.

Four men have been arrested by Gardaí investigating the supply of drugs to prisons in west Dublin. Gardaí from Ronanstown Garda Station became aware of an attempt to carry out a drone delivery to a prison yesterday. They subsequently searched a home in west Dublin, during which a drone and number of electronic devices were seized. Follow-up searches were carried in south-west Dublin, where a vehicle was also seized. Four men, ranging in age from their late teens to their 40s, have been arrested.

An investigation is underway after a Dublin Bus driver was allegedly threatened with a gun in the city centre. He wasn't injured when the gun was reportedly pointed at him on Mountjoy Square shortly before 11 on Friday night. Gardai say they received a report of an alleged incident involving a suspected gun. The Irish Mirror has reported that the Dublin Bus driver suffered the ordeal as he was sitting in the bus before the start of his shift. Gardai say they are continuing to investigate.
