    A couple of weeks ago, it was my five-year anniversary of living in the UK. Before that, I lived in Belgium. And then before that, in France. In between living in those countries, I also spent some time in Italy and the US — I have family there. But I’m originally from Poland, a country whose national narrative is built upon the dream of moving away. (Or at least has been until recently, since we’re now on track to become wealthier than Britain.)And I’m living that dream, I guess.

    Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days, you’ve must heard about — or seen — Dalai Lama’s ‘tongue incident’. In a video that’s gone viral, the 87-year-old spiritual leader of the Tibetan people is seen kissing a young boy and then asking him to ‘suck his tongue.’And although he’s already apologised for it — or rather, his office did dismissing it as just ‘innocent and playful’ behaviour — the global outrage unsurprisingly continues.
