On November 5, 2024, Health Canada released the Notice to industry: Aligned reviews between Health Canada and health technology assessment organizations. According to the notice, effective immediately, the option for aligned reviews for Health Canada with health technology assessment organizations (HTAs), i.e., Canada's Drug Agency (CDA) and l'Institut national d'excellence en santé et en services sociaux (INESSS), is available to all biological and pharmaceutical new drug submissions.

So, let me take you on a little side adventure. If you’re like me and can’t resist a good garage sale or a rummage shop bargain, you’ll appreciate this twist. The story I’m about to share started with a vinyl record I picked up from a rummage sale. It was “Cheap Lady Day,” and I was sifting through crates of old records. I found this album with that classic late ’60s, early ’70s soft glow cover art. Excited by the find, I took it up to the register.
