The family of murdered pensioner Una Crown had waited 12 years to find out who killed her, yet even as they neared an answer, they were made to wait again. After nearly a week of deliberations, jurors returned a guilty verdict against David Newton, the neighbour from a street away who stabbed and stabbed the 86-year-old widow on fire.

Concerns have been raised by two former teachers and a Member of Parliament that pupils and staff are being let down by an academy trust. Ian Sollom, MP for St Neots and Mid Cambridgeshire, expressed his concerns to ITV News about the leadership of the Astrea Academy Trust, particularly regarding its oversight of schools in St Neots.The Trust took over the town's two secondary schools—Longsands Academy and Ernulf Academy—in 2019.

A mother-of-four has described the heartbreak she felt after having multiple miscarriages - as a new service was rolled out to support families experiencing baby loss. Zoe Wise, 32, from St Ives in Cambridgeshire, has gone through seven pregnancies, but three of those times ended in miscarriage. She told ITV News of the pain and isolation she felt and the lack of support she received.

The mum of a 12-year-old who died 27 years ago has said having to bury her son for the third time will be "heartbreaking", after discovering his DNA had been stored at a hospital. June Dunn's son Ben Mallia had a rare brain disease Dentatorubal-Pallidoluysian Atrophy (DRPLA), and died from pneumonia in 1997.

A disability campaigner who ended up trapped at two different railway stations was forced to abandon his trip after nine hours - just days after being made an MBE for his services to disabled people. Isaac Harvey, who uses a wheelchair to get around, was travelling from London to Cambridge on 11 November to go out for a meal for his friend's birthday.
