By Katrina Elsken Lake Okeechobee NewsOKEECHOBEE -- Residents in the Lazy 7 area have noticed dry conditions in the L-62 canal. South Florida Water Management District Okeechobee Field Station crews are using the dry weather conditions to do some necessary maintenance in the canal. Specifically, the team is making repairs to the culverts in the L-62 and removing areas of shoaling in the canal. This will make sure that the water can flow freely as intended.
