West Coast Fever’s challenge for the minor premiership continues after crushing the finals hopes of the Adelaide Thunderbirds. The 68-63 match, in front of a voracious Perth crowd, is Fever’s ninth win on the trot and has rocketed them up the ladder to second spot. It also equalled the record for winning the most consecutive Super Netball games. Despite the victory, the close scoreline did little to improve Fever’s goal percentage which is all that is standing between them and the top spot.

West Coast Fever have locked in a Super Netball finals berth for the sixth consecutive year, after their 69-63 Round 10 victory over a feisty Melbourne Mavericks. Fever have now won eight straight and with an excellent goal percentage, this means that even if they drop their remaining four games there is no mathematical chance of them falling out of the top four. The reverse is true for the Mavericks, with finals now completely out of reach after another horrific year battling injuries.

In a Super Netball match that featured a good old fashioned shootout, the Melbourne Mavericks banked just their second win of the season, by seven points against the Queensland Firebirds. Both teams featured towering shooters and defenders working overtime to make a dent in their volumes. It was the Mavericks who had the best of the deal, with a pumped up Shimona Jok rock solid under the post with perfect stats of 61/61 in an MVP performance.

Giants Netball have pulled off the biggest upset of the 2025 Super Netball season to date by overthrowing the 2024 premiers, Adelaide Thunderbirds by one point. After leading by as much as eight points in the second quarter, Giants kept their composure as the Thunderbirds mounted a last-ditch comeback. Erin O’Brien, one of Giants’ rising stars, pulled off a matchwinning intercept at the 57-minute mark, giving her side a small buffer which put the match just out of reach for the visitors.

The Sunshine Coast Lightning’s state dominance continues with a hard-fought 64 to 50 win over compatriots Queensland Firebirds. The 14 goal victory is the 13th time, in 18 clashes, that the Lightning have won the ‘Battle of the Bruce’. The Lightning, sporting commemorative ANZAC bibs, got out to a solid start, forcing numerous early changes to the Firebirds’ lineup.
