For a guy with almost 25 years of managing under his belt, Terry Francona doesn't get tossed from games very often. He has the third-most career ejections among active managers, but that's partially because how long his career has been; by comparison, the Giants' Bob Melvin, who comes second in the active pack, has 64 ejections in 22 years managing to Francona's 51 and 24. The 51st came on Thursday, in the bottom of the 11th as the Reds engaged in another extra inning battle against the Braves.

Reemerging young Reds star Noelvi Marte being scratched from the Reds' lineup on Tuesday with left side pain immediately set off alarms for fans. He doesn't have an extensive history of injury, but Marte has just found a groove and he's been one of the Reds' most productive bats over his last 15 games. Per Bob Nightengale of USA Today, former Cardinals General Manager and longtime Reds front office member Walt Jocketty, who Nightengale called "one of the finest, nicest, and genuine executives in all of baseball" passed away on April 26 at the age of 74 after "battling series health issues the past two years."
