Journalist Christoph Nister had suggested that clubs have previously pulled away from signing the defender due to his dubious track record over injuries and during his time at RB Salzburg, the centre-back had missed training seasons and was late. While this presents a red flag for West Ham, another development might not be a promising sign for the Hammers’ potential move for Solet.

In the winter transfer window, Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho was heavily linked with a move to Napoli. It later emerged that while an exit to the Italian giants was close, the transfer was halted because of the Argentine’s excessive wage demands that left Napoli surprised. I'm so in awe of him. It is beautiful how football culture works. It just can't be imposed in an artificial way a lot of times. It is there or it is not. Pedri is such a reflection of Barcelona's footballing culture.
