[バンコク ２３日 ロイター] - タイ中央銀行のセタプット総裁は２３日、ロイターに対し、同国経済はセター首相が言うような「危機」ではなく、応急的な景気刺激策で対応すべき状態ではないとの考えを示した。 首相は経済が危機的状況だとして、看板政策であるデジタル通貨給付の必要性を強調するとともに、今月はセタプット総裁に直接会って現行２．５０％の政策金利を引き下げるよう促していた。 セタプット氏は、現在の政策金利はおおむね「中立的」であり、タイ経済はデフレ的状況にも直面していないと指摘。「長期的な潜在成長率を引き上げたいなら構造的な対応が必要になる。生産性を向上させなければならない。しかし、それを達成する方法は、単に短期的刺激策のようなタイプの措置を講じることではない」と語った。 経済の現状については「回復しているが、予想より遅いペースだ。これは危機と同じではない」と述べた。 中銀は昨年１１月の直近政策会合で政策金利を据え置いており、次回会合は２月７日に予定されている。 ※関連情報は画面右側にある「関連コンテンツ」メニューからご覧ください...
