    College Park has a new team to cheer for, and they haven’t lost a game yet this season! Emerald Football Club, the neighborhood’s semiprofessional soccer team, is in its second season with the goal of not just scoring but uniting the community. Founded in June 2024, Emerald FC competes in the United Premier Soccer League Division I, the fourth tier of American soccer. The team has a 16-player roster, three coaches and a dominant 8-0 record for the spring 2025 season with 35 goals scored.

    The Orlando Fringe Festival will be making its return May 13 – 26, celebrating independent art and bold performances. The festival includes a mix of live theater, comedy, musicals, dance, cabaret, immersive experiences and experimental art. Most events will be held at Loch Haven Park, with additional venues around the city. Attendees will need a Fringe Button and individual show tickets to attend, which will be available for purchase online and at the box office.

    Techtonic is calling on the community to dig through drawers and recycle old electronics for its Million Device Drive. The social enterprise, founded by local nonprofit Jonathan’s Landing Foundation, has launched a nationwide 30-day Impact Challenge to collect 3,000 used devices during Earth Month and Autism Awareness Month. Donated phones, laptops and tablets will be refurbished or recycled, and the proceeds will support job training and inclusive housing for neurodiverse adults.
