Endoscopic diagnoses are crucial when considering endoscopic resection for gastrointestinal neoplasms. Magnifying chromoendoscopy using dye spraying, such as indigo carmine and crystal violet, and image-enhanced endoscopy, including narrow-band imaging (NBI) and blue laser imaging, are valuable tools for differentiating nonneoplastic from neoplastic lesions, as well as distinguishing adenomas/intramucosal cancers from invasive cancers.
