The move from the Miami Dolphins to the Minnesota Vikings continues to pay off for Andrew Van Ginkel. After spending five seasons with the Dolphins, the former Wisconsin football linebacker has found his stride in Minneapolis. Last offseason, Van Ginkel signed a two-year, $20 million deal with Minnesota. The move reunited Van Ginkel with Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, who was Miami's head coach when Van Ginkel was drafted.

Although the college basketball transfer portal carousel continues to spin in the offseason, the Big Ten announced the framework for its 2025-26 men's basketball schedule. With the additions of the Washington Huskies, Oregon Ducks, UCLA Bruins, and USC Trojans to the conference in 2024, there are 18 Big Ten teams. With a 20-game conference schedule, teams play all 17 programs at least once. The other three games on the schedule are repeat matchups played both at home and away.

Undrafted free agent signings and tryout opportunities are rolling in following the 2025 NFL Draft. A pair of former Wisconsin football players were selected at the draft hosted by the Green Bay Packers. The draft itself was among the most disappointing in recent history for the Wisconsin Badgers. Wisconsin only saw two of its former players selected. Neither of the former Badgers were picked before the final round.

A member of the Wisconsin basketball 2022 recruiting class will return to playing NCAA Division I men's college basketball this fall. After signing with his third college basketball program, the Wisconsin native has taken a winding road through the transfer portal. The window to enter the college basketball transfer portal closed last week. Although players can no longer enter the portal, they do not need to sign with a team until they meet their respective school's enrollment deadlines.
