Overall home values in Puerto Rico jumped 11.6% in the first quarter of 2025 compared with a year ago, far surpassing the annual price growth in any U.S. state, according to data from the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Still, home prices in Puerto Rico are relatively affordable in comparison with the U.S. mainland, a factor that helps explain the influx of outside buyers and investors in recent years.
