This seemed a perfect opportunity to see what awaited the UK audiences and to report back before the tour starts proper on the 23rd of April in Bristol.

S.G. Goodman has announced her third studio album, “Planting by the Signs”, which will come out on 20th June via her very own Slough Water Records / Thirty Tigers. This is her first album in three years and it is a reminder of the Kentucky-born and raised singer-songwriter’s sharp lyricism, singular voice, and blend of indie rock and rural influences. Will Stratton released his new album “Points Of Origin” the other week via Bella Union (see our review here) – listen to the first single to be taken from it below. To celebrate the release he has announced news of an extensive UK tour in July including two London performances. The album is Stratton’s eighth LP, his third for the label, and his first in the US for Ruination Records.

“Long After The Fire” sees Vicki Peterson of The Bangles team up with her husband John Cowsill, drummer/vocalist for The Beach Boys for over 23 years. Their debut album as a duo, is a set of Americana songs written by John’s late brothers, Barry and Bill Cowsill. A new single from the album entitled ‘Is Anybody Here’ is out now, with Peterson revealing that “it is the song that kicked off the entire ‘Long After The Fire’ record.
