Some rookies take a while to get acclimated to the professional ranks. Others hit the ground running. Caitlin Clark took the WNBA by storm during her rookie campaign in 2024. After being selected first overall by the Indiana Fever, Clark went on to compile a laundry list of records, including scoring a rookie single-season record 769 points. Clark broke the previous mark set by Seimone Augustus (744) in 2006. Clark and Augustus are the only rookies in WNBA history to score at least 700 points.

The 3-point shot has become a major component of offensive game plans in modern basketball. A streak of 3-pointers can flip a game in a totally different direction. The Las Vegas Aces secured a WNBA team record -- playoff or regular-season -- 23 3-pointers in a 117-80 rout of the Phoenix Mercury in Game 2 of their first-round playoff series in 2022. Chelsea Gray accounted for seven of them in a game-high 27-point performance. Las Vegas went on to win its first of back-to-back WNBA championships.

JuJu Watkins is a legend for shouting out Monica Wright (Sanaa Lathan) after yet another historic performance. JuJu reminds me of Jordan. Magic and Bird (Angel and Caitlin) pumped life into the NBA, and then MJ came in and took it to an unimaginable level. JuJu is coming...

Something to watch: Brent Celek is helping the Eagles safeties prepare for Travis Kelce. Not only did the former TE help the Eagles win the Super Bowl during the 2017 season, but he was also the blueprint for Kelce as he transitioned from QB to TE at the University of Cincinnati.
