The Quentin Blake Centre for Illustration, working with auction house Bonhams has launched a special fundraising auction of original artwork by Quentin Blake. The collection of works in Airborne reflect Quentin’s longstanding fascination with flight and features airborne characters, flying machines and birds. All in watercolour and with Quentin’s distinctive scratchy line, these works will be open for bidding on Monday 21st April at 12.00 noon BST on the Bonhams website.

Lancashire County Council is on the lookout for the country’s best landscape artists in its annual Lancashire Artist of the Year competition. The judges want to see paintings, sketches, collages, lino prints or even embroideries depicting your favourite view of Lancashire in spring, summer, autumn or winter. The competition is open to anyone based in the UK who has a connection to the postcode boundaries of Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Council and Blackpool Council.

Independent game developer Cotton Game from Shanghai, China has won the Best Visual Art at Indie Game Award 2025 for their beautifully crafted title Sunset Hills. With a team of ten passionate creators, Cotton Game has previously released nearly 20 beloved titles such as the Isoland series, Mr. Pumpkin series, One Way, and Dad’s Monster House.
