Aviation was always my first passion, so I trained in Aerospace Medicine, and I have worked almost exclusively within aviation-related units for my physician jobs. For much of my time as a Navy physician, I also continued to fly as a pilot.

In my typical fighter pilot fashion, I will commonly refer to this as “suck less.” I have always felt it is important to acknowledge the areas where we lack knowledge and experience to avoid becoming complacent, arrogant, or unsafe. One of the things I loved most about military aviation, which also translated well to medicine, was the constant learning required to stay on top of your game.

Is this intended to be your full-time job? Is it intended to be a side hustle with the possible option to become a full-time business? Will you always perform this work solo, or do you intend to have employees? Are you going to work in person, or will it be remote/virtual?
