Money spent on maintanence now can head off major problems in the future—extending the lifespans of bridges, saving money and ensuring safety and convenience for future generations. There are about 473,440 bridges across the country, excluding culverts and bridges in U.S. territories.

There's something missing from the Patapsco River in Baltimore, Maryland. That something is the Francis Scott Key Bridge. Just last year, a 95,000-ton cargo ship lost steering and crashed into the bridge, causing it to collapse. Six people died in the process. This incident has ignited pressing concerns about the durability of America's aging infrastructure, putting a spotlight on bridges. Most bridges have a lifespan of about 50 years.

While partly off the radar for many, the opioid crisis is still unfolding and continuing every day. There are concerns the battle is not being won because one drug or substance just replaces another, each one potentially more dangerous than the previous. Hearst Television's National Investigative Unit is learning more about a substance, not considered an opioid, being mixed with fentanyl that's creating a serious problem in the fight against opioids called xylazine.

Watching the @TODAYshow ‘3rd Grade Field Trip’ segment. I just keep thinking…the producer who vetted & trained this class to be on camera…did amazing! This could easily fall flat but it’s full of “moments”! Love! (Yes, that’s what TV people analyze while watching this stuff!)

Does anyone else hear a song & know EXACTLY where it was on the album because you studied the booklet/CD case that much as a kid? “Sometimes” was #3 on Britney’s 1st album. It followed “Crazy”. And the last song was “The Beat Goes On.” 😂 https://t.co/77IHgf2ihu
