A cat litter drive will be taking place this weekend, Saturday, May 17th, and Sunday, May 18th, in Waite Park, for an amazing shelter that had a terrible barnfire a few months ago that destroyed valuable inventory and more. A barn that was used to house and care for cats and kittens up for adoption, and serve as a storage unit for valuable supplies, had a terrible fire just a few months ago.

If you love the smell of lilacs, you are going to want to head out to Boomerville Lodge in Cold Spring to experience a unique maze that has been in the making for the past 22 years. I spoke with Mike Nistler, the Hobby Farmer, who created the lovely fragrant maze by planting about 500 lilacs around 22 years ago. Mike told me that those 500 lilacs have spread to approximately 3,000 on his farm today. The Boomerville Lodge is located on a farm that was established in 1852 near Cold Spring.
