Through a series of studies, community input sessions, donor support and consistent public bolstering, the concept would be described by placemakers and developers as “catalytic” and hailed in The Journal Gazette as “authentic,” “iconic” and “family-friendly.” It was recommended by consultants and profiled in the city’s conceptual riverfront plan.
