(CBS DETROIT) — Whooping cough cases continue to grow in Michigan. The state Department of Health and Human Services said before the pandemic that it would see around 600 cases of whooping cough each year. This year, the number of cases has already surpassed 1,500, which is 2.5 times more than in 2019. Detroit-area apartment residents say they're frustrated with lack of heat OAK PARK, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - An Oak Park man is worried for his family and neighbors as their apartment complex is without heat, and temperatures are dropping. "It is inhumane living here," said Mark Holmes Jr., a resident of The Loop on Greenfield apartments. Holmes said he and other residents have been living without heat and worry about the safety of his two-year-old son.
