Should be an interesting 2025ACC football saw four teams reach the 10-win plateau in 2024. Ironically, FSU wasn't one of them, although they entered the season as the No. 10 team nationally. Two more teams reached the nine-win mark, and the rest of the conference was full of middling to terrible teams barely making bowl games. There were surprises like Duke winning nine games in Manny Diaz's first year as head coach in Durham.

Still in line for a top eight national seed. FSU baseball (36-11, 16-8 ACC) rebounded in its Sunday rubber match against California with a 5-1 victory to win the series. FSU entered the series at No. 2 nationally and remained in the same spot afterward by most ranking services, but their RPI dropped to No. 9, although they won the series. Ironically, California's lone win over FSU in game two boosted their RPI +13 spots. California isn't a good team and is well below .500 overall and in ACC play.

CoachA has FSU in position once againFSU softball (46-9, 18-3 ACC) finished the regular season with a disappointing loss in the ACC Tournament Finals, giving up their lead to Clemson in the final inning to lose by one run. However, their body of work in the regular season was good enough for the No. 5 overall seed in the NCAA Softball Tournament. FSU was the only ACC seed among the top eight and will host a regional in Tallahassee.

Should be easy winsFSU football has much to prove in 2025 after only winning two games last year. Most FSU fans are in wait-and-see mode, and who could blame them when there was serious doubt they could beat Charleston Southern toward the end of last season? I don't doubt that FSU will be better for a few reasons. They couldn't be any worse and made major changes to the coaching staff and the roster. They also have a manageable schedule.

FSU coaches have started putting their focus on high school recruiting, with official visits beginning this month.
