(WNTZ) – Three people, including a Glenmora police officer, were arrested this week in connection with the killing of two dogs in an incident that authorities say involved animal cruelty and misconduct by law enforcement. According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office, investigators began looking into a complaint of animal cruelty received on May 25, which allegedly occurred on May 21 inside Glenmora city limits.

(WNTZ) — A traffic stop near Glenmora led to a significant drug and weapons seizure and the arrest of three individuals, including two Alexandria residents, after deputies uncovered promethazine syrup, oxycodone, and a modified firearm, authorities said. On May 31, a Rapides Parish Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy initiated a traffic stop on a northbound vehicle on U.S. Highway 165 for a traffic violation.
